Reductions Specialist

Kanner & Pintaluga, a dynamic and rapidly growing personal injury and property damage law firm, seeks a highly motivated and passionate Reductions Specialist to join our team in Delray Beach, FL.

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Reduction Specialist is responsible for processing disbursement on settled cases by reviewing each file and ensuring all providers to be paid are accounted for with correct balances. Once verified, they will start negotiations to reduce the balances and help maximize the clients' final net and prepare files with the accounting department to process disbursement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

• Perform general office clerk duties.
• Handle incoming calls and other communication interactions with third parties.
• Work alongside attorney to negotiate case-related liens.
• Verify medical and negotiate medical bills.
• Advise clients regarding reduction and check status.
• Organize reduction files for accounting and handling of settlement checks.
• Evaluate and organize all applicable medical liens and audit all related case expenses.
• Prepare and follow up on reduction letters and medical authorizations.
• Execute all appropriate follow-up procedures to ensure timely disbursements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: 

• Full-time, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F.
• High school/GED diploma required. 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong and clear phone presence.
• Legal experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently.
• Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
